Fix windows not geniune message
Ever get tired of getting that annoying message windows is not genuine or you may be a victim of counterfeit copy of windows, activate now. Well here are some simple steps to solve the problem. I tried it and it worked for me so have at it.
Basically the whole things has to do with a particular update labelled KB971033 that Microsoft intelligently added to the list of updates readily available when you start updating your computer. Funny thing is I think they know so it is not selected by default like the others. You have to select it in order for it to download onto your system. the following is for machines running windows vista/7.
1. Go to control panel, uninstall program and in the left panel select view installed updates.
2. Look through and identify the KB971033 update then uninstall it from the system. Reboot your system.
3. Next download Wat fix.
Note: If you've not previously loaded an activator on your system, you can skip this step.
This will restore Windows 7′s activation files and settings to their original defaults that way Windows Loader has a standard setting/file set to work from. WAT Fix will scan the system and restore any modified files then reboot the system.
WARNING: Do not close WAT Fix while it's running.
4. Next download Windows Loader, run as administrator and click install. When it finishes restart your system and check my computer, system properties and see that windows is activated.
5. Run windows update and hide the update for KB971033.
6. You're good to go now. As easy as that.
